RECREATIONAL COMPONENT

Our recreational program aims to integrate the basics of gymnastics with fun. Your child will have a blast as they develop strength, flexibility, gross motor skills, spatial orientation, confidence and self-esteem in a safe and fun environment!

Our team of dynamic trainers offer unparalleled service, both for the beginner and for the more advanced athlete.

Gymnasts can evolve in the introductory classes (1h30/week) and then can be evaluated to enter more advanced groups such as the Pre-Challenge or Pre-Competition (4h per week).

Dress code :
Gymnastics is done in a swimsuit (gymnastics or dance), without or with leggings and bare feet. Bring a water bottle with your child’s name written on it.

COMPETITIVE PART

The GymFly team includes certified coaches, two national judges and choreographers.

Our GymFly Club gymnasts are classified into different categories according to their level:

Relève Group (7 to 10 hours per week)
The gymnasts of the Relève group are those who are not yet of the required age (8 years old on December 31) to take part in competitions. The training they receive allows them to prepare for future competitions. During the gymnastics year, they participate in 3 internal competitions.

Regional Group (10 hours per week)
The gymnasts of the Regional section participate in regional competitions and aspire at the end of the gymnastics year to qualify for the Challenge des Régions and the Games of the FGQ.

Provincial Group (16 hours per week)
The gymnasts of the provincial group participate in the provincial selections scheduled for the Division 3 calendar and aspire at the end of the gymnastics year to qualify for the Provincial Qualification, then the Quebec Championships. The Eastern Championships are also a competition targeted by gymnasts in certain categories. It is also possible for provincial gymnasts to take part in other “invitational” type competitions.

National Group (25 hours per week)
The gymnasts of the national group participate in the national selections scheduled on the calendar and aspire to qualify for the prestigious Elite Canada competition in order to obtain the coveted High Performance status. At the end of the year, the national gymnast also wishes to participate in the Canadian Championships. It is also possible for national gymnasts to take part in other “invitational” type competitions, both in Canada and internationally.

Within the Club GymFly, two gymnasts are also members of Team Canada (the Canadian gymnastics team).
